We went to Bucks County in Pennsylvania to celebrate the fall season. There, you can dine and shop in a colonial style village decorated beautifully for Halloween and Autumn.
Peddler’s Village, with its 60+ boutiques and specialty shops on site, is a shopper’s paradise! You can find unique, quality items and gourmet products from around the world. There are shops that specialize in candy, gourmet honey, gourmet oil, jerky and pickles, popcorn and more. You can try an authentic Liege waffle and gourmet ice cream, or visit the largest US store dedicated to Black Forest Cuckoo Clocks.
Peddler’s Village is not only a shopping paradise, but also has 8 restaurants, a winery, a spirits tasting room, and a brewer where you can find fall-themed dining specials, as well as fun weekly fall events such OctoberFeast and Scarecrows In The Village.
This is just a small sample of what you’ll find at Peddler’s Village in the fall. You can shop, sip and dine there, or enjoy a show.
Don’t miss ‘Scarecrows in the Village’
Peddler’s Village celebrates the entire fall with its Scarecrows In The Village. Over 100 scarecrows are lining the streets of the village and welcoming you to boutique entries created by locals, business owners and shops in categories such as “Thrills with Chills,” and “KIDS-ONLY!”
We had a lot of fun walking through the village and seeing all the creative scarecrows. They ranged from the traditional and really creepy to the creative, artsy and humorous. They were inspired by many themes including pop culture, movies and mythological or paranormal creatures. Shops join in the fun!
You have to see for yourself. Visitors can vote on their favorite scarecrows throughout the season. The creator of the winning scarecrow can also win a prize.
The scarecrows will be on display until October 31. You can always put the event on your calendar next year if you are unable to attend this weekend.
